What are Spotlights?

Each Spotlight event gives students the opportunity to spend time gaining an insight into a specific business sector and the possible career paths within it, for example; Engineering/Construction, Healthcare/Science, Technology/IT, Business Services, Creative Industries/the Arts.

Schools/colleges are able to select the sector they wish to focus on and we organise for between 5 and 10 businesses in that sector to attend. A Spotlight event typically consists of 4 interactive workshops which give the students the opportunity to talk to and complete hands on, inspiring, practical challenges with the businesses.

Many Spotlight events are followed up with an employer visit where students will be able to see and feel what work is like in the sector. They will hear from young employees about routes into the sector and their experiences.
