Preparing for Work
Yesterday we were able to prepare Year 11, at Maiden Erlegh Reading, for the world of work with our Preparing for Work programme.
Our Preparing for Work programme gives students valuable insight into the working world, and prepares them for their next steps, whilst helping to broaden their horizons and raise aspirations.
It was a fun packed interactive day where students built on our CV writing workshop with virtual job interviews with business professionals and go on virtual tours with our ‘day in the life’ films.
Students were also joined by business professionals from Englefield Estates and NCR bodyshops for Live Q&A sessions, where students could find out more about specific job roles and career paths.
Kate, Work Related Learning Manager at Education Business Partnership, said, “We designed this programme to support schools and young people who are unable to take part in work experience due to the recent Coronavirus restrictions. The day went really well, we reached over 170 students who were all interacting and engaged. We are looking forward to delivering the programme to another school next week.”
